That feeling. That feeling you get when you're driving on Friday evening, and one of your favorite songs starts to play on the speakers. The wind is blowing in your face, you're singing (yelling) out the words with a huge smile on your face, and you don't care if the driver next to you sees, because you know they've been there too. You turn it up as loud as your beater car let's you, and your heart feels light, you know that if you started talking, there's a possibility your voice would be a pitch higher than normal because you're so excited, but for what you don't know.
That's the feeling.
That's the feeling I want you to get when you wake up in the morning. That's the feeling I want you to get before you go to bed at night. That's the feeling I want you to get when you say hello to the first person you see in the morning.
I want you to feel it after you've been praised at work. I want you to feel it after you've spilt coffee all over yourself first thing in the morning. I want you to feel it when someone tells you they love you. I want you to feel it when you're lost, confused and wondering if you're leading the right life.
I want you to feel it every day.
Because, the truth is, we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, the next day or the day after that.
So what, you spilled your coffee. So what, someone cut you off driving. So what, you aren't entirely sure about where you're at in life.
I want you to feel that feeling. I want you to embrace that feeling. And I want you to live with that feeling.
Loving life. Being excited. Having butterflies in anticipation for nothing except that moment—that is what I want you to feel.
That is how I want you to live. At least sometimes, at least every once in awhile. Feel that feeling. Smile, sing (yell) with no regard to the people in the other car staring at you like you're crazy.
Maybe you are crazy, but at least you're happy.
That feeling—that's the feeling.
