Post-Vacation

Wow. As I'm sure you've noticed, I was in SF for a music festival this past weekend (what Instagram rules?).

And, wow.

I had never been to a music festival prior, and to be completely honest, I didn't know what to expect. I never understood all the "hype," nor why so many of my close friends live for these few days of the year.

I have to say, I get it now (or at least I'm trying).

I think what's so incredible about these events, is the amount of passion you see in every one around you. Every one is there for one reason and one reason only—to see exceptionally talented artists and sneak away from the realities of every day life. Away from the obligations and the to-do lists. Away from the worries and the questions. Away from people telling you how to live, how to act, and how to feel.

Away from it all.

And it's liberating.

It makes you realize, really, that life doesn't wait for you. It doesn't run by your clock or your agenda. What we have is now, all we'll ever have is now.

As cliche as it may be, this weekend reaffirmed and instilled my need to live as you want to live. The need to quit putting off your dreams and goals while you "wait" for something better.

Because, there's no point in waiting, and there's certainly not time for it.
