Listening

I don't think I've ever seen anything more attractive than someone speaking passionately of their dreams. It's the way their eyes get just a little bigger, while they simultaneously squint just a bit, because they're truly smiling from their hearts. It's the way you can sense their immense appreciation simply because someone is listening, simply because you care.

Caring that much about something shows drive, compassion—a reason for living.

It's the most inspiring thing I have yet to experience—people that make you realize that you can do it too.

We live in a world where following what you want to do is in fact an option. We strive for work-life integration rather than work-life balance. Not because we're workaholics, but because we're finding ways to make a living out of our passions.

I'm a realist, but I also believe in waking up each day with the ability to do exactly what you want. You'll make sacrifices and you won't always want to do certain tasks, but it will all be getting you closer to what you ultimately want, and in my opinion, that's all we can really do.

And so, I'm going to continue to go after what I want and make a life for myself, and in the meantime, feel free to talk with me about your passions and dreams—better yet, your goals. Feel free to tell me what you want in life, because I'd love to listen, not only to encourage you, but to inspire me.
