Decided to hike Mt. Tallac Summit in South Lake Tahoe this weekend, left Reno at 8am, got back at 8:30pm (food pitstop at the end). 

Let me tell you, this is a HIKE. 

Take a look at my experience — a must-do if you live/visit the area!

But I mean...

If you're going to do this hike, I suggest healthy/energy filled snacks, WATER, sunscreen, bug spray, a camera, and a good group of friends. It's a challenging and rewarding hike, with friendly hikers from around the world along the way. 

Amazing that it's just in the backyard of Reno, NV.
