Live the Answer

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” Rainier Maria Rilke

Often, we get caught up. Caught up in searching for “what we want to do.” Searching for who we want to be with, where we want to live, what we want to accomplish. We search near and far, trying to discover ourselves and what we truly want out of our lives.

Maybe we need to stop searching, maybe we need to let these questions answer themselves.

Maybe we need to quit searching for the answers to our questions, and simply live a happy life. Do what we want to do each day, take it all in—maybe then we will realize the answers to our questions, maybe we are already living the answers.

If we spend our lives essentially googling an answer to the question of life, then are we really living it?
