A couple days in the bay.
I got to spend a few days in Martinez, CA just outside of SF.
My friend recently bought her first house (yay!) here, and I went during the week to work from home and enjoy her cozy home.
I took notes on the decor & need this Breville espresso machine for cappuccinos (in another future life).
We worked all week, but enjoyed lots of Brie cheese, wine, fresh California fruit, and long walks with my friends dogs in the meantime (another thing I need in another future life).
We also went to Gott’s Roadside in Walnut Creek, CA for burgers. I balled out with a burger, sweet potato fries, milkshake & strawberry lemonade.
And finally, I had a work lunch in Silicon Valley prior to a long weekend in Carmel and Monterey. Finally got to bust out a matching suit (plus matching trench) I’ve had sitting in my closet as I wear joggers & hoodies every day.
Prior to going to Carmel, we spent two nights in Salinas, CA at my grandma’s house. My friend and I went to Gino’s for Italian on Thursday night.
Friday, my friend made us homemade eggs benny, I pretended to go on a run, read my current read One Italian Summer, and we hung out before making some charcuterie, going on a champagne-fueled wine walk, cooking dinner, and staying up until 2AM looking at our university’s old yearbooks and drinking way too much wine.
Sidenote: Salinas flowers are my favorite.
